The next Youth Transitions Task Force meeting is scheduled for Friday, February 15 from 8:30-10:30 am at 555 Amory Street in Jamaica Plain. This meeting will feature a presentation of the Safe Schools/ Healthy Students Initiative.

The Youth Need YOU! Come Together - Create a Plan - Take Action
Friday, Jan 25, 3:00-5:00 pm at Boston City Hall, Curly Room (5th Floor). The Governor's Executive Order for CORI Reform DOES NOT include any provisions for Juvenile offenders. It is critical that we organize a united youth front to push forward language regarding juvenile CORI in the Executive Order.

Project for School Innovation is sponsoring a Learning Exchange Conference on Sat, February 9, 2008 from 9:00am - 3:00 pm in Dorchester. The conference will include workshops on effective practices for inclusion, co-teaching, dropout prevention, community engagement, science, literacy, math and more. Join us for an educational forum about young people and depression. The screening of the new DVD Depression: True Stories will be followed by an expert panel. The forum takes place at the Massachusetts State House on Wed, January 16, 2008 from 9:30-12 noon in the Great Hall. RSVP required.

The Boston Youth Workforce Collaborative is meeting on January 15, 2008. They are reaching out to job developers and case managers who help get youth employed.
