In the Constuction Training Program students (age 18 - 24) learn job skills in the constuction trades while doing hands-on work at one of YBB's building projects. CityLab Academy Accepting Applications for Fall 2008

Open Houses will be held on a monthly basis so this is a good time to learn more about the program. Computer Tech "Bridge to College" Program in Dorchester
Posted November 27th, 2007 by Heidi HallThe BATEC program, in partnership with RCC, UMass Boston and DotWell, is offering a Bridge to Community College program focused on computer technology. Participants will receive college instruction and 6 credits upon completion, coaching in basic math and writing for entry-level college standards, and support with college admission. Students can apply the credits toward an IT for Business degree. Enrollment is limited to 20 students. Flier attached.
Delta GEMS Mentoring Program for Girls (14-18 years)

The project is a collaboration between Urban Ecology Institute and the Boston Public Schools’ Bridging the Gap program that seeks to cultivate the educators and community innovators of the future by providing high school students with leadership and mentoring opportunities in out-of-school time programs. In addition to comprehensive training, LEAH mentors are placed in paid internships in youth-serving organizations where they can both learn and contribute.

The Esperanza Trabajando grant enables us to provide individuals assistance in obtaining employment, higher education, and/or training.
