The BOSTON YOUTH SERVICE NETWORK is a group of community-based organizations providing an integrated continuum of Alternative Education and Career Exploration programs for at-risk youth who have not found success in traditional systems. REFER A YOUTH.

 

Member organizations have a shared mission to improve the quality and diversity of services for youth so they develop the academic, work-readiness, life skills and support structure necessary to become productive adults.

Youth Transitions Task Force is meeting Friday, May 21 from 8:30-10:30 am at the PIC Jamaica Plain office (55 Amory Street).  Meeting will feature updates on local and state initiatives.  The task force will engage members in a discussion about our legislative strategy.  We want to generate discussion around the provisions, the rationale behind them, and how they might play out.

BYSN Trauma and Mental Health trainings

Boston Leaders for the Innovatin of Education are hosting “An Evening of Innovation in Education” this Thurs April 29 at 6:00 pm at The Stadium Bar and Grille in South Boston.  The event will include a question and answer session with MA Secretary of Education, Paul Reville, an interactive panel of educational entrepreneurs, the announcement of the 2010 Innovation Incubator competition with an update from the 2009 winners and professional networking opportunities with event attendees and special guests.
