BPS budget briefing on weighted student funding

Youth Transitions Task Force is hosting a budget briefing with John McDonough, Chief Financial Officer for BPS, to learn more about the newly proposed BPS weighted student funding formula which is proposed for FY 12. Many ed policy experts think that this funding model is more equitable than traditional models, though there can be unintended consequences. Down the road, this could have positive implications for dropout prevention and recovery, as well as for alternative education schools and programs.
