CWC Introduction to Workforce Development

How much do you know about the field in which you work? The Commonwealth Workforce Coalition (CWC) invites you to "Introduction to Workforce Development”. If you are new to workforce development, this introductory workshop may be for you! Learn about funding flow, organizations and programs that make up the workforce development system in MA, ARRA resources, and standards for workforce development staff.

The workshop will be held from 9:30am - 12:30pm on Tuesday January 25th, 2011, at Chelsea Neighborhood Developers. The workshop is free, but online registration is required by Wednesday January 19th. Registration confirmation and directions will be e-mailed to registrants before the workshop.

This workshop is one of a series of activities supported by a grant from the Strengthening Communities Fund and is a project of the Commonwealth Partnership for Economic Opportunity (CPEO), a joint effort of Commonwealth Corporation and the Commonwealth Workforce Coalition/CEDAC.

Registration for this workshop will be not be affected in any way by the secular or faith-based nature of organizations. Faith-based organizations will be required to take steps to separate, in time or location, inherently religious activities from the programs or services whose capacity will be built through this technical assistance activity.
