High Costs of Dropping out of High School
Working with the Youth Transitions Task Force, Northeastern University's Center for Labor Market Studies investigates the consequences of dropping out of high school for individuals and for the public.
The first, An Assessment of the Labor Market, Social, Civic and Fiscal Consequences of Dropping Out of High School, details a number of costs to the dropout and to the taxpayer in Massachusetts. The second, The Fiscal Economic Consequences of Dropping Out of High School focuses on analyzing the costs to the taxpayer. The third, State and Local Fiscal Consequences of High School Dropout Problems in Massachusetts, identifies the specific state and local costs in Massachusetts.
