The Log School
The Log School Offers a GED preparation program for at-risk, high-risk and other youth interested in obtaining their GED. Founded by Joe Carpineto in 1974, The Log School is a settlement house which offers and array of educational and social services. The goal of our dedicated staff is to provide services that will improve the lives of local residents and strengthen the community as a whole by implementing programs based on changing neighborhood needs.

Little House Alternative Middle School
The Little House Alternative Middle School is a small middle school in Dorchester that offers a safe and supportive atmosphere for students in grades 6-8 who have struggled in larger, more traditional schools. With a capacity of only 25 students, the school provides small class sizes, individualized attention, and focused instruction. The Little House accepts students, ages 11-15, who are at risk of academic failure due to truancy, discipline and/or expulsion issues.
