Our mission is to help students (poor attendees or drop-outs) develop academic and personal skills, master course content to earn a BPS high school diploma and thereby incrase their economic viability and life changes.
What is the EDCO Youth Alternative?
- An alternative high school program which offers a supportive environment for students who are Boston residents.
- An education program devoted to working individually with students to help them grow and meet their education and job placement goals.
- A program that re-enrolls students in the Boston Public Schools
- A program that provides small, competency-based, accredited classes in regular high school subjects (English, reading, math, history, science, art, computer literacy, physical education) leading to a Boston Public School diploma.
- A program that links school and work sites to enable students to earn academic credit for each course that is completed and credit for successful work performance.
- A program that provides students with supportive personal, school, and work counseling.
