The Boston Youth Service Network sits on the Youth Council, which meets next on Friday, May 9 from 8:30-10:00 am.  The meeting will be at 2 Oliver Street, 7th Floor (downtown).

The May network meeting is being hosted by Sociedad Latina at the Tobin Community Center (1481 Tremont Street, Roxbury Crossing), from 2-4 pm. Monthly network meetings are open to anyone interested to attend. See agenda below.

Is improved schooling enough to keep significant numbers of at-risk students engaged in school and prevent them from dropping out? What types of services and supports can schools access to ensure that students stay in school and are ready to learn? How can schools work with social service providers to address students' most pressing needs? This forum will take place 8:30-10:30 am at the Omni Parker House Hotel. This workshop will focus on strategies for when you have learners at diverse or multiple levels in the same program. The workshop is on Friday, May 2 from 1:00-4:00 pm at the PIC Jamaica Plain office (555 Amory Street). This will be an interactive workshop that includes some case studies and will provide some tools to use in your program. Further details are below and please Sign Up to confirm your participation.

The Boston Area Advanced Technological Education Connections (BATEC) is focused on creating a regional system for Information Technology education and workforce development with our high school, community college and university partners. You are invited to participate in a one-day Educators Outreach Summit at Bunker Hill Community College on Wed, June 11 from 8:00am to 2:00pm. The focus of the summit is Access to Postsecondary Education: Building a Coalition for effective College and Career Readiness Pathways.
