The BOSTON YOUTH SERVICE NETWORK is a group of community-based organizations providing an integrated continuum of Alternative Education and Career Exploration programs for at-risk youth who have not found success in traditional systems. REFER A YOUTH.
Member organizations have a shared mission to improve the quality and diversity of services for youth so they develop the academic, work-readiness, life skills and support structure necessary to become productive adults.

Beat the Test: Free SAT/ACT assessment to determine which test is best for you

The PRA (Princeton Review Assessment) gives youth experience with both tests to pick the best test for them to take for college admission. Colleges accept ACT on par with SAT and some may receive higher scores on the ACT. Mon, June 29, 9:30am-12:30pm at Sociedad Latina (1530 Tremont Street, Roxbury). BYSN June Meeting

This wil be a working meeting, focusing on a network capacity-building project on mental health and framing a network advocacy campaign. Please make an effort to assure every member organization is in attendance. Lunch will be served.

Building Futures, Not Prisons Part II: Addressing School Discipline Issues

The first "Buiding Futures, Not Prisons" gathering provided an overview of the School-to-Prison Pipeline. This event will focus on topics such as models for revising school discipline policies, implementing restorative justice practices, and collaboration.
